The vision of AboutYourMortgage.com is to assist in building a more stable housing market by empowering Consumers to better manage their existing mortgage relationships with their Mortgage Lenders.
AboutYourMortgage Chairman, Tim Allen, working with Ed Wollman began the intricate and tedious U.S. Patent process for AboutYourMortgage’s unique customer retention conduit process over seven years ago. Currently the patent is pending. He has gathered a team of qualified and knowledgeable industry experts to establish a solid base to launch the conduit and maintain its success. Tim and his team’s vision have remained focused but in recent months the need has become more urgent.
In 2008 the mortgage market crash created an urgent need for AYM’s process’ ability to provide rapid, valuable help and education to both the Consumer and the Mortgage Lender. In today’s changing marketplace and political atmosphere AYM’s process is not only valuable, but critically needed.
In July 2008, Tim enlisted Wade Hamby’s support. They had worked together in serving the mortgage needs of Floridians and were, for many years, on the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Florida. Wade embraced the AYM concept. In his capacity as Vice President of a publicly traded Mortgage Insurance Company and with his involvement in the mortgage industry working closely with local, regional and national financial institutions and mortgage companies he understood AYM’s value and immediate need.
Through Wade’s contacts, Michelle Cartier joined the team. Her extensive background in marketing, business development, web site design and management is invaluable. She has many years of experience in marketing and creative services with Deloitte & Touche and in the mortgage insurance and construction industries. As our venture grew, Tim and Wade asked Jason Nordin to join the AYM management team. His mortgage industry experience in loan originations, short sales and deed-in-lieu, loss mitigation, and national mortgage lending call centers make him a perfect fit for AboutYourMortgage. For the last two years, Jason has been focused on working directly with homeowners and creating innovative methods to help homeowners keep their homes.
AYM is designed as a free service to consumers, while providing them with options to access legitimate ancillary services such as credit reports and links to bona fide Home Retention programs, such as HOPE Now and CCCH (we are currently in the process of securing links to such services). The AYM team wants this to be a true benefit for both the consumer and the lender.
